Neville Southall, the former Wales and Everton goalkeeper, will be available for interview in Cardiff ahead of this Friday’s World Cup 2014 qualifying match against Belgium.
Southall’s publisher, deCoubertin Books, is hosting a media day on Thursday September 6, where the former goalkeeper will be promoting his recently published autobiography, The Binman Chronicles.
For more than 16 years Southall kept goal for Everton and Wales, becoming his club and country’s greatest servant, as well as Everton’s most decorated player.
“Uncompromising, unorthodox and often unkempt, Southall’s career followed an incredible trajectory: from football-mad binman, to the greatest goalkeeper in the world in the space of a few years,” his publishers say. “Now he lifts the lid on a career that saw him appear for his country more times than any other player.”
