BOA launches Team GB Olympic website

From the BOA
In 100 days, some 300 Team GB athletes will be walking in to the Opening Ceremony of the XXIX Olympiad. You can follow Britain’s finest athletes on their journey to the greatest sporting event, the Olympic Games, through our new website: www.teamgb.com

Over the next few months our “Brits to Watch” out for at the Games will be recording personal video diaries, on camcorders provided by Worldwide Olympic Partner Panasonic, giving you a unique insight into their personal journeys on the road to Beijing.

You can already log on to www.teamgb.com and view Team GB’s selection of diaries, videos and podcasts; see what it was like to carry the Olympic Torch from Olympic silver medallist Leon Taylor and enjoy the Team GB’s synchronised swimming duet’s hilarious underwater video diaries.

Play your part and inspire our athletes to glory in China by sending a message of support to Team GB and you will automatically enter the competition to win a dream ticket to experience the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games yourself.

Other key aspects of the new Team GB website include:

*Comprehensive profiles/biogs on all selected Team GB athletes
*The ability to search by region and find out where your Team GB heroes are from
*A detailed competition schedule which can be searched and printed by sport/day/athlete/event
*All the latest news and results from the heart of Team GB
*A photo gallery depicting Team GB’s past and present Olympic triumphs
*Information on the Games and the Host City and the Olympic sports themselves.
*Get close to Team GB through www.teamgb.com; experience the highs and lows of preparing for the Olympic Games and feel a part of their success in China this August.
