AIPS

The SJA enjoys good and close relations with many other organisations, especially AIPS – the international sports journalists’ association, which was formed in 1924.

AIPS and AIPS Europe are committed to improving conditions for working journalists. In addition, they organise regular ‘Young Reporter’ schemes to help young people working in the media.

SJA member Keir Radnedge is a delegate on the AIPS Football Commission.

Only members of the SJA in Britain may join AIPS, and receive its internationally recognised press card. The AIPS card is recognised widely in France, by UEFA and other bodies like the IAAF.

The two-year membership of AIPS costs SJA members a fee of £50. Please be aware the AIPS card works in 2 year cycles, the 2024-2025 card is now available, this is valid from now until the 31st of December 2025 and costs £50 no matter when you join. Please be aware of this when making payment.

To renew your AIPS membership, or to apply for membership, visit the AIPS website here.

To complete your AIPS application or renewal and obtain a two-year card, please pay your £50 AIPS fee to the SJA. We collect the fees on behalf of AIPS. The fee also includes our administration costs.

To become and remain a member of the AIPS you must be an SJA member. To join the SJA please click here.
