Penny Dain has been appointed head of communications for The London Marathon Ltd.
She will oversee communications across the full portfolio of running and cycling events and the London Marathon Charitable Trust. She takes up the position on December 1.
Dain is well-known among athletics writers and cycling correspondents, having worked in the sports over the past 30 years, directing media operations for international sports federations and major events worldwide.
She has worked on seven Olympic Games and currently leads on communications for Prudential RideLondon.
