Sports Journalists’ Association to hold AGM 2026 on May 7

This year’s SJA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 7 May, starting at 12.30pm BST; meeting will be held online; SJA members are welcome to attend; prospective Committee members welcomed

This year’s Annual General Meeting of the Sports Journalists’ Association will be held on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

The AGM will be held online and is scheduled to begin at 12.30pm BST.

The SJA is delighted to invite all members to attend, and a link will be made available in advance of the Meeting to those requesting attendance via email at info@sportsjournalists.co.uk.

The main business of the AGM will be to receive an annual report and the annual accounts; to appoint auditors; and to elect the Officers and Committee for 2026/27.

The SJA welcomes anyone who believes they can contribute to the work of the Association to put themselves forward as a prospective Committee member.

In line with the current SJA Constitution, motions for inclusion in the Agenda are to be proposed and seconded by full members and submitted in writing no later than 7 (seven) days before the date of the meeting.

Please email info@sportsjournalists.co.uk to propose any Agenda items or to indicate a willingness to stand for the SJA Committee, including a brief biography.

Also – SJA members in all categories are welcome to attend the AGM, but only Honorary and Full members are entitled to vote, should a vote be required.
