From PA Sport
The Sport Briefing, the leading news portal for the global sports industry, has today launched a new-look service. The service is published by Press Association Sport and was first launched in June 2008. Since the launch, The Sport Briefing has gone on to build up a following of more than 2,100 subscribers.
The Sport Briefing offers a daily HTML email digest of up to 30 stories, a quarterly magazine and a website packed full of the latest news and incisive features, making it the one-stop shop for sports business news and information.
As part of the revamp, an easy-to-navigate homepage at www.thesportbriefing.com now allows for instant access to the latest news from the Sponsorship & Marketing, Governance & Administration, Broadcast, Digital Media, Events, Facilities, Finance and Betting & Gaming sectors of the sports industry.
Alongside the day’s latest news stories, the new homepage also highlights the day’s feature article, which includes regular Q&As; Website, Stadium and Destination Profiles; Stock Market Updates; Ticket & Attendance Round-Ups; Sports Sponsorship & TV Data and a weekly editor’s blog.
For those interested in checking out the service, a free one-week trial is available via the homepage, while at least two other free-to-view articles – including the weekly blog – are now also available every weekday via www.thesportbriefing.com.
The website, which is updated throughout the day as and when the news happens, also offers a searchable archive of more than 10,000 news stories, making it a vital destination for market research and information.
The content can be sorted by date, market sector or by geographic territory to speed up and simplify the research process.
The new-look daily digest and breaking news alerts have also adopted the new branding, while The Sport Briefing quarterly magazine is being relaunched in March 2010 and will be distributed at the upcoming leading industry conventions of SportAccord in Dubai, Sportel Asia in Singapore and the Soccerex European Forum.
Rory Squires, Managing Editor of The Sport Briefing, said: “We’ve broken a number of industry exclusives since the launch of The Sport Briefing and our daily service offers significantly more articles from the global sports business industry than any other online service. The aim of the revamp is to make it easier for our subscribers to navigate around the website and check out the latest stories, whilst also ensuring those who are interested in signing up to The Sport Briefing can check out the service at the click of a button.”
