Top sports pictures on display in London

A selection of around 100 of the best pictures entered for the 2006 SJA British Sports Photography Awards will be on show at London’s Unicorn Theatre from May 18 until June 18, to coincide with the staging of Billy the Kid, a play based on Michael Morpurgo’s book about a boy footballer.

“A story that combines football and war. It is a lot like an afternoon at Stamford Bridge, and ideal for football fans aged eight and over,” according to The Daily Telegraph.

To accommodate football fans on Cup Final day, Saturday May 19, the Unicorn is planning to screen the match live that day as well as staging the play.

Admission to the photographic exhibition is free.

For booking details and exhibition opening times, contact the Unicorn Theatre, 147 Tooley Street, London SE1 2HZ (a short walk from London Bridge station), phone: 020 7645 0500.

To book tickets for the theatre, call 08700 534 534.
