Press conference: Tom Daley

British Swimming will be holding a press day for Tom Daley, European diving champion, on Friday, June 13, at his training base at Central Park Pools, Plymouth as he continues to prepare for this summer’s Olympic Games. This press day is likely to be the final occasion Tom Daley is available to the media prior to leaving the UK for the Olympic Games.

Where: Central Park Pools, Outland Road, Milehouse, Plymouth. PL2 3DG

When: Friday 13th June, 10am onwards

Daley has secured qualification to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the Men’s 10m Individual and will be aiming to add the Men’s 10m Synchro to his Olympic programme at the British trials on June 20-21.

The media are invited to watch Tom train on dry land and in the pool before interviews with the talented 14-year-old and his diving coach Andy Banks.

The format of the day will be as follows

1000 – 1100 Dry land training – photo/broadcast opportunity

1100 – 1200 Pool-based training – photo/broadcast opportunity

1230 onwards One-to-one interview opportunities (15mins).
These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
