Following the announcement of additional performance funding for Summer Olympic sport in the build up to London 2012, UK Sport will be holding its first quarterly update briefing at 10.30am on Wednesday 26th July at UK Sport’s offices (40 Bernard Street, London, WC1N 1ST).
Liz Nicholl, Director of Performance, Peter Keen, Performance Advisor, and other members of the UK Sport performance team will present information on progress from April through to July 2006 and answer questions. The presentation will focus on:
*Performance planning for summer Olympic Sports in 2006
* The current assessment of progress of all sports against UK Sport’s published Funding Triggers
* Other significant issues currently impacting on the World Class Performance Programme
In addition UK Sport will be unveiling the additional funding being made available to Summer Paralympic Sport between 2006 and 2009, and how that will be distributed on a sport by sport basis.
