Scoop! Women in Journalism seminar: May 31

The group Women In Journalism is staging a seminar called “Scoop! How to get the stories other journalists don’t”, which will see a panel of experts discuss how to find stories and a market for them, and how to conduct an investigation without falling foul of the law.

The panel will consist of Heather Brooke, the award-winning Freedom of Information campaigner whose investigations include MPs expenses and US diplomatic cables, Christine Spolar, the Financial Times‘ Investigations and Special Projects Editor, Panorama reporter Shelley Jofre and Fiona O’Cleirigh, who has worked as a journalist for several Middle Eastern news outlets, as well as contributing to the Guardian, and the Daily Mail.

The event will take place on May 31 at Wiggin LLp, 10th Floor, Met Building, 22 Percy Street, London, W1T 2BU, from 7-9pm. For more information e-mail wijuk@aol.com
