The death has been announced of Andy Porter, the Tottenham Hotspur historian, aged just 54, writes Mike Collett.
While he wasn’t a journalist as such, he wrote hundreds of articles on Spurs.
Every football writer across the country ever needing Spurs facts and figures went to Andy as the font of all knowledge. We were all very grateful for his information and help.
He did not miss a match, home or away, or abroad, since 1980.
