London 2012’s Olympic Park progress report

From London 2012

Major progress has been made on London’s Olympic Park site, including the announcement of the 2012 Delivery Partner.

The CLM consortium was officially named as the Delivery Partner on September 15. CLM will work alongside the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), project managing the process of delivering the Olympic Park for 2012.

The major tender for the centre-piece Olympic Stadium was also announced, with teams asked to combine design with construction in their pitch for the work.

ODA Chief Executive David Higgins said: “Detailed planning now is worth its weight in gold further down the track.

“We have a timetable that is challenging but achievable and one that will require a relentless focus on delivery, timely decision-making and sound project management over the next six years.”
