The funeral of Peter Batt, who died last month, is confirmed for 11am on Monday, May 16, at the North East Surrey Crematorium, Morden.
Peter’s family invite his journalistic friends to the wake at The Woodstock Pub, 1 Stonecot Hill, Sutton SM3 9HB immediately after the cremation.
Norman Giller will deliver the eulogy on behalf of Peter’s Fleet Street colleagues, and the Best of Batty Tales will be shared at the wake.
Batty has left instructions that he wants his wake to be the best party he never attended.
