A memorial service for Terry O’Connor will be held at St Stephen’s Church, College, Road, South Dulwich at 1.30pm on July 4.
Following the service Terry’s family invites attendees to the Dulwich and Sydenham Golf Club.
St Stephen’s is next to Sydenham Hill railway stations and transport to the golf club will be provided for those who need it.
O’Connor, a former chairman of the Sports Journalists’ Association, was 92 when he died. During a long and distinguished career he covered 11 Olympic Games and 10 Lions Tours, and spent 30 years working for the Daily Mail.
His extensive sporting library treasure trove is looking for a good home too.
