Join BT Vision and SJA for football debate at Emirates

BT Vision, sponsors of the Sports Journalists’ Association, are staging a special pre-season debate on the future of football on television in the Diamond Club at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday, July 24, and is inviting SJA members and other sports journalists to attend.

Among the guests will be Martin Keown, the former Arsenal and England centre back and now an ambassador for BT Vision, together with Trevor East, head of sport at Setanta, and Dan Marks, the chief executive of BT Vision.

Usual SJA terms apply for this lunch: 12.30 arrival for a 1pm lunch, which costs SJA members £20 and non-members £25, with proceeds to be donated to ChildLine, the charity which BT has supported for 20 years.

In addition to Premiership football, BT Vision Sports features action from the Football League and the Scottish Premier League. Customers have access to archive footage of classic matches, and coverage of European football, US PGA Golf, boxing, horse racing, sailing and rugby union.

BT Vision, BT’s next-generation TV service, became a lead sponsor of the SJA last year. Under the BT Vision sponsorship, SJA members can receive a 10 per cent discount on BT branded products, and be eligible for welcome cheques of up to £50 for BT Total Broadband and £40 for BT Fusion.

To attend the BT Vision/SJA lunch at the Emirates on July 24, please email SJA honorary secretary Steven Downes at stevenwdownes@btinternet.com. There is a limit on the number of people who can attend this event, so please try to book your place as soon as possible.

BT Vision is also supporting the SJA’s Olympic lunch with BOA Chairman Lord Moynihan at the Old Bank of England pub on July 23. Some places for this lunch remain: again, contact Steven Downes if you wish to attend.
