Ben Curtis has joined Telegraph Media Group as deputy sports editor (live).

The appointment has been made following Thom Gibbs’ promotion to sports editor (live) earlier this year.
Curtis joins the Telegraph after having worked as deputy digital sports editor at the Daily Mirror. Curtis first started working at the Mirror in 2012, having previously been employed by business publisher Axxon.
A former sports editor of London Student, his articles on pink balls (in cricket) and foul language in football led to a nomination for student sports writer of the year in 2008.
He has also contributed to Gillingham FC websites Gills365 and We Are Going Up, as well as co-presenting The Round Up Show on Break London radio.
