Twitter to give SJA Masterclass at BT Tower: Dec 17

The SJA is delighted to announce a Twitter masterclass for sports journalists, staged in association with BT Sport, to be held at the BT Tower in London on December 17.

Twitter logoSocial media has become part and parcel of mainstream journalism. Twitter UK director Lewis Wiltshire will be our guest to offer advice, tips and insight in a talk and Q and A session.

This is a unique opportunity to discover how to make the most of Twitter, from individual journalists to online sports editors. And for members of the SJA, the event is absolutely FREE.

BT Sport is hosting the event at the iconic BT Tower, which provides unheralded views of London.

Wiltshire is director of media partnerships at Twitter UK, having been the company’s inaugural head of sport. Before that he was sports editor and Olympics editor of BBC Online.

Due to security requirements at BT Tower, anyone who wishes to attend must register with the SJA and will need to provide photographic identification – driver’s licence or passport – on the day.

Non-members of the SJA are also welcome, at a cost of £10 a head. In the event that the masterclass is oversubscribed, SJA members will take priority.

HOW TO BOOK

Our event, staged in association with BT, will be held on the 34th floor. Tea and coffee will follow the talk.
