icc-champions-trophy-2013-1348889The media accreditation process for the ICC Champions Trophy 2013 is now open. This is an online process that can be followed by clicking here.

As part of the application process, you will need to upload a jpeg photograph, while a letter of approval/assignment from your editor needs to be emailed to iccct2013.accreditation@ecb.co.uk. Applications not supported by assignment letters will NOT be processed.

The closing date for applications is 1700 (GMT) on Friday 19 April 2013.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR APPLICANTS, EDITORS AND EMPLOYERS:

i. By uploading information/applying for accreditation, you understand that you, the applicant, have agreed and accepted the attached ICC Champions Trophy 2013 Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions for Non-Rights Holders.

ii. Given the large number of applicants expected, space for media will be very limited. Only working journalists with specific assignments will be accredited to the ICC Champions Trophy 2013.

iii. Each applicant’s respective editor/employer must approve that applicant’s application before it is processed by the ICC. Without such approval, an application will not be considered for processing. Not more than three representatives, excluding photographers, will be accredited per organisation.

iv. Accreditation for the event does not guarantee access to a specific match. During the application stage it is necessary to indicate which matches you intend to cover. For match day accreditation, priority will be given to international/domestic news agencies and national/daily newspaper reporters of countries whose teams will be involved in the match.

v. For members of the travelling media requiring visas to the United Kingdom, a letter in support of a visa application will be provided. Journalists requiring visa letters are advised to contact Rachel Lamb at iccct2013.accreditation@ecb.co.uk. The media are reminded that it is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that he/she has made the necessary visa arrangements for travel.

vi. Freelance journalists must supply a letter of assignment from the commissioning editor of a genuine media outlet that is registered with the relevant government information agency or department. This letter needs to be emailed to iccct2013.accreditation@ecb.co.uk before the start of the event.

vii. All the Non-Rights Holders will be accredited for the tournament but only reporters will be accredited on match days. However, to facilitate the NRHs, all the unedited post-match media conferences will be uploaded on an ICC ftp site for free download and editorial use. Details of the FTP site will be announced in due course.

viii. NRHs found filming inside the venue on a match day will have their accreditation withdrawn and will be banned from covering any further matches.

ix. The ICC reserves the right to approve/reject/request further information on all applications in its sole discretion and without providing reasons for doing so.

x. The ICC reserves the right to withdraw the accreditation of any accredited journalist whom it deems is in breach of the relevant Media Accreditation Terms and Conditions.

xi. Journalists failing to attend more than half the matches after confirming their attendance may drop in the pecking order.

xii. Journalists not responding to reminder emails from the accreditation manager may drop in the pecking order.

xiii. Journalists not informing the accreditation manager about a change in their plans may jeopardise any applications they may make for accreditation for future ICC events.

xiv. Late applications cannot be entertained.

xv. If you have any queries on accreditation, please write to icc.ct2013accreditation@icc-cricket.com and/or iccct2013.accreditation@ecb.co.uk.

xvi.
