Olympian line-up for SJA’s Olympic Question Time

Paul Deighton: LOCOG CEO and one of the panellists for the SJA's Olympic Question Time on April 5

The SJA today launched the ticketing process for its Olympic Question Time on April 5, and announced the names of its high-powered panel for the event, which is to be chaired by the award-winning broadcaster, Sybil Ruscoe.

Our Olympic Question Time event is being staged in the historic debating chamber of London’s County Hall from 5.15pm on Tuesday, April 5, while the annual SportAccord Convention is being held nearby.

Our expert guests who will be facing the audience’s questions are:

  • Paul Deighton, chief executive of LOCOG, the organising committee for London’s Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • Baroness Campbell, chair of UK Sport, who provide the performance funding for Britain’s Olympic competitors
  • Pat McQuaid, the IOC member from Ireland and president of the international cycling federation
  • Former LA Times Olympic reporter Alan Abrahamson.

We hope to announce an additional panel member in the next few days.

How to apply

Places in the audience for the event are limited, and we expect there to be a high demand. Priority will be given to those who are registered as delegates to the SportAccord Convention and SJA members.

To attend the event, you need to register by sending an email to website@sportsjournalists.co.uk.
