Gillette renews broadcast deal to 25th year

It was announced today that Sunset + Vine, the independent television sports producer and distributor, has renewed its contract with Gillette to continue producing and distributing its weekly global advertiser-funded series, Gillette World Sport.

The renewal will last for two years and takes the partnership into its 25th year of production.

The 30-minute show brings together the sporting highlights from each week, specially shot features from around the world and profiles of leading sports figures.

The weekly programme is distributed to 220 broadcasters across 180 countries. Sky and Setanta are among the UK broadcasters that air the Gillette World Sport.

In 2008, the series will also feature extended reports on Roger Federer, Thierry Henry and Tiger Woods prior to their various major tournaments.

Jeff Foulser, chairman of Sunset + Vine, was pleased with the renewal. He said: “The series has developed from strength to strength over its 25 year history and we will continue to provide innovative and compelling content to over 200 broadcasters.”
