Snapper Eagar gets in the frame on Golf Day

Patrick Eagar claimed the honours at the 2008 SJA Golf Day, staged at Muswell Hill Golf Club yesterday.

Eagar is seen here receiving the Phil Sheldon Memorial Trophy from Gill, Phil’s widow. Paul Dugdale took the award as the best guest player on the day.

Paul Trow did a great job in setting up the day and thanks to Paul, a member at Muswell Hill, there were many extra prizes awarded in addition to the usual trophies, winners’ medals, nearest the pin and longest drive.

In all, 23 players took part, including many new members such as Adam Hathaway, Charles Randall and many regulars – Chester Stern, David Richman, Tom Clarke, David Emery and sons, and Hugh Routledge (who took the pictures).

Two Muswell Hill members, Kevin Price and Paolo Minoli, despite their local knowledge, could not beat the best of SJA.

Given the recent dreadful weather, the sun shone and the course was in magnificent condition, and Muswell Hill looked after us – even reducing the price at the last minute.
