The Sports Journalists’ Association is backing an informal social event for younger professionals in the industry to meet and discuss the evolving nature of sports journalism, to be held on Tuesday, April 21.
“It will be a chance to network, share experiences and make new friends with those in a similar situation, at a time when journalism as a whole is going through major changes,” said Christian Radnedge, the SJA member organising the event.
Open to young sports journalists either working or students, the first event takes place at The Print Room in Bar 21 in Covent Garden Piazza on Tuesday, April 21, from 6pm onwards.
The event is open to all young, professional sports journalists, whether or not they are SJA members, and is free of charge, though attendees will have to buy their own drinks.
If successful, we hope to repeat the event on May 26 and July 14.
