Archery World Cup: press launch

You are invited to the official launch of the Archery World Cup, at Dover Town Hall on Friday April 13 from 1.30pm. The event itself is taking place in Dover fom July 31 to August 5. The Dover event is the fourth and final tournament of the FITA World Cup series, so there will be all to play for, with places at the Grand Final in Dubai at stake. We are expecting more than 350 of the world’s top archers to take part, representing at least 30 countries.

The launch will be an informal opportunity to interview a number of members of the Great Britain squad, including Olympic bronze medallist Alison Williamson (pictured). Also available will be Lynne Evans MBE, the chairman of the Grand National Archery Society, the sports governing body in the UK as well as representatives from each of our partner organisations.

As well as interviews with Great Britain squad members, organisers and event partners we will also provide you with a comprehensive Press Pack. This will contain extensive information on the event, archery as a sport and about the FITA World Cup.

Oh, and by the way: tea, coffee and a buffet lunch will be served.

The launch is followed in the evening by a Mayoral Banquet and there will be a further media opportunity between 6-7pm to interview the attending dignitaries, including The Right Worshipful the Town Mayor of Dover, Councillor Jan Tranter, the Deputy Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and 19 mayors from across Kent.
