Ramsay pub events put fresh Spin on cricket

Spin cricket magazine is holding a series of free events this summer with authors, journalists and cricketers at Gordon Ramsay’s pub, The Warrington, near Lord’s.

The next planned event is on June 16.

Among future guests is Duncan Hamilton, the award-winning author of Brian Clough: Provided You Don’t Kiss Me and the acclaimed Larwood, and of a new book on the last summer of cricket before World War I.

Hamilton will be our guest on July 14.

Before that, on June 16, the guest will be Middlesex and New Zealand’s Iain O’Brien, just about the only top player to write a proper blog on life inside top-level cricket.

Entry is free and the nights are informal, featuring a Q and A and a prize quiz (to win dinner at a Ramsay restaurant).

The Warrington is at 93 Warrington Cresent, London W9, nearest tubes Warwick Avenue and Maida Vale.
