Northampton University is holding a day of talks and networking opportunities to promote careers for women in sports media and marketing on February 8.
Current sports journalists and marketeers can hear discussions on what sportswomen think of coverage of their sports, how much marketing money is coming into sports played by women and there is a chance to network with other female sports media practitioners.
Meanwhile, SJA committee member Vikki Orvice (right) and the BBC’s Robyn Cowen will be running sports reporting masterclasses for school students and future generations of sports journalists.
Fans of the Offside Rule podcast will be delighted to see Hayley McQueen (pictured above), Lynsey Hooper and Kait Borsay record their award-winning podcast during lunch.
The event, organised by senior lecturer Marc Webber, is free to attend for SJA members.
