The funeral for John Samuel, the former sports editor of The Guardian who died last week, will be on Friday, November 28.
It will be held at 2.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, Church Street, Cuckfield, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH17 5JZ.
The family requests no flowers but any donations to the British Heart Foundation or the Stroke Association.
The service will be followed by a reception at the Old School House next to the church.
