Adam Sills appointed as sports editor at Telegraph

Adam Sills is expected to be announced today as the new sports editor of the Daily Telegraph.

Sills, right, aged 34, fills the vacancy left at the beginning of the year when David Bond left the newspaper to become sports editor at BBC News.

Sills has been at The Guardian since 1998, where most recently he has been head of sport planning. His move to Victoria reunites him with Ben Clissitt, the Telegraph Group’s head of sport, who has made the appointment.

At The Guardian, Sills has previously edited the Saturday sports section and had various production roles, including being in charge of commissioning and editing the section’s features.
