Brooks draws his winnings to head table

From SkyBet
After the drama of the third Test at Edgbaston, Gideon Brooks still leads the way at the top of the Ashes Media Challenge table. Brooks, who was leading by £45 prior to the start of the 3rd Test, extended his lead by £179.18 with a single full balance bet of £275 on the draw at 8/15.

Once again the markets available before the start of play and the in-play markets were popular. A number of people were rewarded by backing Australia to have the highest opening partnership at evens, but with the weather interruptions it was the draw that proved the most popular bet.

Sky Bet, one of the SJA’s lead sponsors, is providing 30 of the Association’s members each with £50 in free bets on each of the Ashes Tests. At the end of the series, all of the entrants in the challenge will get to keep their winnings, while Sky Bet will match the winner’s balance with a donation to the charity of their choice.

With England 1-0 up in the series with two Tests to play, Sky Bet is offering a market on when Australia will win their first Test with the fourth Test at Headingley 15/8.

It’s 3/1 for Australia to claim victory at The Oval and 10/11 that they draw a blank in the current Ashes series. England, who only need to win one of the remaining two Tests to regain the Ashes, are 7/1 to win the remaining two Tests, with Australia 5/1.
