Jennie Gow, BBC 5Live’s F1 presenter, has used Covid as the inspiration behind a series of webinars aimed at young would-be sports journalists.
The broadcaster’s latest offering is with Rebecca Clancy of The Times, the BBC’s Andrew Benson, the inimitable Maurice Hamilton and freelances Scott Mitchell and Craig Woollard.
Jennie explained: “In these strange Covid times I wanted to try and use my time at home to give something back to the industry that has kept me safe this season – and for most of my working life.
“That was the inspiration for the Motorsport Media Career Webinars – and the latest was another great addition with some fab colleagues giving their time and advice for free.
“These Webinars aim to help people – especially those having a tough time at University or entering the job market right now, to find their way in motorsport, journalism and F1. Please share, shout about it and of course, watch it.”
What a great webinar!
Love to see so many senior motorsport journalists host a session to help future writers break into the industry 🙌#MMW2020 pic.twitter.com/NWENaHYaN2
