The SJA British Sports Journalism Awards, sponsored by the National Lottery, has again broken records with 780 entries received by Wednesday’s competition deadline – the highest number since the event started in 1976.
This year £1 from every entry will go to former rugby league player Rob Burrow, who is battling Motor Neurone Disease, and we will top that up to £1,000. Donations to the Leeds Rhino legend can be made HERE too.
Judges will now consider the qualities of the submissions and short lists will be published on this website in the following order:
17 February – Photography (sponsored by Canon)
18 February – Written
19 February – Broadcast
Winners will be announced via a virtual awards ceremony on 15 March.
