Hamilton and Radcliffe win Laureus awards

Lewis Hamilton, the SJA Sportsman of the Year, has won the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year award after his remarkable debut Formula 1 season.

Paula Radcliffe, a past SJA Sportswoman of the Year, won the World Comeback of the Year prize after her New York City Marathon victory. Her triumph came just 10 months after she gave birth to daughter Isla.

The Laureus awards were presented at a gala ceremony in St Petersburg.

Tennis pair Roger Federer and Justine Henin won Laureus’s Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year.
