Validation is available for the current 2026 to 2027 period of the biennial AIPS Membership Card.
The International Sports Press Association (AIPS), formed in 1924, is the international members’ association for sports journalists.
The AIPS Membership Card is internationally recognised. For accreditation for certain events, some sports bodies decree that AIPS membership is essential.
If you are based in Great Britain, to be a member of the AIPS, you must also be a Full Member of the Sports Journalists’ Association.
To obtain the current card for 2026/27, whether as a new or existing member of the AIPS, there are two steps.
Firstly, you must visit the following AIPS link to confirm your information: Click here
Secondly, you must pay the £60 card fee to the SJA. This must be paid online: Click here
When both of the above steps have been completed, the SJA will be able to process your AIPS card.
Please be aware that the cards are produced by AIPS themselves and sent to the SJA to be forwarded on to the member. As such, we order the cards in batches, so there can be a delay in your card arriving.
