Important notice to all SJA/AIPS members

From Bill Colwill, SJA Membership Secretary
SJA’s AIPS members were recently invited in an e-mail from AIPS to renew their membership and order their 2008-09 card online.

While this has the advantage that members can now check their own details and ensure that they are all up-to-date it is still necessary on completion of that operation to make payment for the new card to SJA. Only fully paid-up members of the SJA may affiliate with AIPS, and thus obtain the internationally recognised press card. SJA subs for 2008 are due on Jan 1 (click here for SJA membership details).

SJA members wishing to renew AIPS membership should send their cheque for £25, payable to SJA, to :

Bill Colwill,
SJA Membership Secretary
31 Chesham Lane
Chalfont St Peter
Gerrards Cross
Bucks SL9 0PG.

The Sports Journalists’ Association is the only organisation in Britain that is recognised by the world and the European sports journalism bodies, AIPS and UEPS respectively.

If you are requesting an AIPS card for the first time, you can still make your request online, but making payment as noted above.

All cards will be dispatched by AIPS to Bill Colwill for onward transmission.

If you have any queries pleased address them to: Bcolwill@aol.com
