Lord Moynihan to give Sport and Law lecture

The inaugural Edward Grayson Memorial Lecture will be held on May 13 at King’s College London in the Strand. Entitled: “Fair Play – Is there still room for the Corinthian Spirit in sport?”, the lecture will be given by Lord Moynihan, chairman of the British Olympic Association.

Media are welcome to attend, but they need to contact the British Association for Sport and Law in advance.

Lord Moynihan, who is also a former Minister for Sport, will be introduced by Charles Woodhouse, the founding chairman of BASL. The lecture will be followed by drinks and a finger buffet in the Chapters Restaurant, which is adjacent to the Lecture Theatre K2.31 [2C].

The Edward Grayson Memorial Lecture will be an annual event in the BASL calendar and it is hoped will be a fitting tribute to the memory of Edward Grayson, the founding President of BASL and a true pioneer of sports law, who sadly passed away in September last year.

To attend, contact Lorraine Stylianou by email to basl@kcl.ac.uk as soon as possible and in any event by Friday, May 1.
