IOC Executive meeting: Kuwait Nov 28-29

The first indicators of the progress towards London 2012 will be made public when the IOC’s executive board meets in Kuwait City from November 28-29.

All meetings will take place at the Radisson SAS Hotel, with Denis Oswald’s report on London 2012 due in the morning session on Nov 29.

The EB will hear reports from the IOC commissions and directors, as well as updates on the organisation of the forthcoming Games in Beijing, Vancouver and London. The agenda will also include a presentation by the chairman of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games, Jean-Claude Killy, on the Commission’s final report which analyses the lessons learnt from the Turin Games.

Media accreditation:
Please note that accreditation to cover the Executive Board meeting is being processed on the IOC website. This accreditation will also allow the media to cover the Association of National Olympic Committees – (ANOC) press conference following the ditation will give media access to cover the meeting of their Executive Council on Sunday, November 26.

Accreditation badges will be distributed from noon on November 25 at the Welcome desk situated in the lobby of the Radisson SAS Hotel.

Media representatives are kindly requested to make their own bookings.

Visas:
Media travelling from countries requiring a visa to enter Kuwait are requested to urgently send a photocopy of their passport to the IOC Communications Department in order for the IOC to make the necessary arrangements for visas.

Media facilities:
A working room will be set up in the Gazebo of the Radisson SAS Hotel, with all necessary facilities including high-speed internet lines.
