Accreditation: ICC Twenty20 World Cup

Online accreditation for all media wishing to cover ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 has been launched.

The accreditation process for ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 opens today (April 6) for all media wishing to attend the tournament which begins on June 5 with the hosts England playing the Netherlands at Lord’s.

The online accreditation process also covers the women’s tournament, in which the group matches will be held at Somerset’s County Ground in Taunton.

The process can be accessed at http://iccwt20accreditation.ecb.co.uk/. New users of the site must first register (“Click here to register” appears on the introductory screen).

A user guide is downloadable from this site and it is recommended all applicants read and understand this guide before commencing their application.

The other venues staging ICC World Twenty20, which will both host the men’s and women’s semi-finals, are The Oval and Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

The ICC World Twenty20 finals day will be at Lord’s on June 21.

This accreditation service is run by the hosts for the tournament, the England and Wales Cricket Board. Media enquiries should be directed to iccwt20accreditation@ecb.co.uk.

All radio rights holders should contact Miles Palmer from IMG Media at miles.palmer@imgworld.com.

All other media rights holders should contact ICC Media Rights Officer Simon Varney at simon.varney@icc-cricket.com.

Please note that applications close on Friday May 8 and due to the volume of applications expected late applicants cannot be guaranteed accreditation. As a result, those wishing to obtain accreditation should register and apply as soon as possible.

Please note, all successful applicants for accreditation must either hold a UK or EU passport or have obtained a valid UK visa. Applicants who fail to obtain a necessary UK visa will not be able to travel to the UK and therefore their accreditation will be invalid.
