The occasion begins at 6pm with the opening of an exhibition of the hundreds of stunning pictures included in the short-listed entries in the SJA British Sports Photography Awards. That’s the same time that we open the doors to guests with a drinks reception.

With more awards than ever to present – thanks to the generous support of Ladbrokes and Laureus – this year there will be reports published on this website, sportsjournalists.co.uk, with the results throughout the evening, culminating with the announcements of the Sports Newspaper of the Year, the Broadcast Presenter, Sports Writer and Sports Photographer of the Year prizes sometime around 10.30pm.
And there will be a special announcement about the future of the SJA published on this website from around 7.30pm.
