BOA’s Hunt meets the press with the SJA

The SJA is delighted to announce that Andy Hunt, the British Olympic Association’s new chief executive, has agreed to be our guest for lunch in Fleet Street next month, the first opportunity since his appointment to “meet the press”.

The lunch will be staged at Ye Olde Cock Tavern, from 12.30pm, on Thursday April 16. Places are limited and will be reserved on a strict first-come first-served basis, with priority given to fully paid-up SJA members if necessary.

This will be the SJA’s fourth working lunch of 2009, and will adhere to the usual format of a relaxed meal at which to socialise and network, followed by a Q&A session with our guest which, on past form, is sure to be newsworthy.

Accompanying Hunt will be the BOA’s new communications director, former Sunday Times and BBC News reporter Adam Parsons, who is also keen to meet his erstwhile colleagues and will be available to answer questions on plans for Vancouver 2010 and London 2012.

HOW TO BOOK
The SJA lunch will take place at Ye Olde Cock Tavern, 22 Fleet Street. The venue is less than half a mile from Blackfriars, Temple and Chancery Lane Tube stations and City Thameslink rail. Click here for a map of the location.

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-reserved basis, with preference given to SJA members. The cost is £20 for fully paid-up members, and £25 for non-members, to include a two-course meal.

Members are expected to buy their own drinks.

Payments are to be made on the day to Mary Fitzhenry, by cheque (made payable to the SJA) or cash please.

Contact Mary Fitzhenry by email to mary@spokepromotions.com or by phone on 020 8946 9601 or 07946 545084 (please indicate whether a vegetarian meal is required).
