Event: With the Olympic Games in Beijing fast approaching, The National Lottery will reveal the nation’s favourite British Olympic champions and showcase the winning performances that have captured the public’s imagination.
The six most popular sporting greats will appear on a new National Lottery Scratchcard and online Instant Win Game, Olympic Champions, to raise funds for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
The six gold medallists will be interviewed on stage – while sports presenter, Hazel Irvine, will unveil the UK’s most memorable Olympic moments and favourite performances by GB athletes. Dianne Thompson, Camelot’s Chief Executive will provide an update on National Lottery activity to support London 2012 and the Rt Hon Tessa Jowell MP, Olympics Minister, will also be speaking.
