Press conference: Beijing environmental innovation

WHAT: UK Sport and the British Olympic Association (principally through the Olympic Medical Institute) have been engaged in a series of projects ahead of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, aimed at developing performance solutions to the prevailing environmental conditions that athletes and support staff are expected to face, both in the lead up to and at the Olympic Games themselves.

This event is designed to let you experience the environmental conditions likely to be faced in Beijing, and show you some of the solutions devised to ensure that Team GB’s athletes can perform to their potential. The session is being held at the EIS’s Bisham Abbey centre to allow for active demonstrations and some dynamic broadcast and photo opportunities.
