Fullbrook’s Fearless Ball kicks off on May 23

The Danny Fullbrook’s Fearless Foundation Ball is being held at The Hurlingham Club on May 23.

Danny Fullbrook Foundation

The evening will celebrate the life of Danny Fullbrook, paying tribute to the Daily Star‘s chief football writer who died last year, aged 40, after an 18-month battle with cancer.

The tribute to Fullbrook posted on the SJA’s website was written by his Star colleague and fellow SJA member, Brian Woolnough, who also died last year.

Fullbrook was a highly respected journalist around the football circuit whose passionate approach to his work, and to his life and family, earned him the nickname “Frank and Fearless”.

The evening mark the official launch of his Fearless Foundation, which has been set up in his honour, to encourage and inspire individuals to engage in trying, playing, coaching, or writing about sport, providing support to help them fearlessly achieve their full potential.

The Ball will be a spectacular evening hosted by BBC’s Mark Chapman, with a drinks reception, sumptuous three-course dinner, a number of fundraising activities, featuring an audience with sports stars and live musical entertainment.
