Next Monday’s SJA British Sports Journalism Awards dinner is sold out.
It is the second successive gala awards event organised by the SJA which has reached capacity, following our British Sports Awards staged at the same Grand Connaught Rooms in central London last December.
“The SJA committee is obviously delighted,” said Steven Downes, the SJA Secretary.
“Our awards sub-committee and event organisers, Start2Finish, have worked very hard to pull together the dinner, so it is especially gratifying that colleagues from newspapers, broadcasters and news and photo agencies have supported the event so enthusiastically by buying tables and tickets.
“We are sure it will be a great night – and we have one or two special surprises lined up for all those attending which we will be announcing later this week.”
If you have not yet managed to book your place for the sports journalism event of the year, you will now have to be content with following proceedings via Twitter – @SportSJA and #SJA2011 (these are awards for work done in 2011) – or on the SJA website, and ultimately on YouTube…
