Northamptonshire County Cricket Club is to become the first sports club in the country to publish their own fully interactive, digital magazine.
Deep Cover will be launched at Northants’ home, floodlit Pro40 game against Sussex tonight. 
Written by some of the country’s leading sports journalists and including articles written by first XI players, the fortnightly magazine will include exclusive player interviews and embedded videos of game highlights, coaching sessions and player projects. The magazine is available free via e-mail.
The first issue includes an interview with Northants and England’s new spin sensation, Monty Panesar (pictured), and a feature written by David Wigley on how his team mates would fair in the Big Brother house.
“We are always looking for innovative ways to communicate with our supporters, raise our profile and generate revenue,” said Mark Tagg, NCCC’s chief executive. “That we are doing this by publishing our own magazine and allowing our fans much greater access to their players is particularly exciting.”
