Giblin swaps Madrid for Hull

Paul Giblin has been appointed sports editor of the Hull Daily Mail, following 16 years based in Spain in which he worked for PA and Real Madrid TV.

“To be sports editor of the Mail is a dream come true, as it would be for any Hull-born sports lover, and I had no hesitation in swapping the sunshine for a return to my home city,” Giblin, 43, told holdthefrontpage.co.uk.

Giblin’s spell in Spain included five years as the Press Association’s correspondent and most recently working as news editor of Real Madrid TV, including coverage of the 2006 World Cup.
