Telegraph gets Twenty20 vision

Nick Hoult has been appointed as Twenty20 cricket correspondent at the Telegraph, across daily, Sunday and web titles, the first such appointment for the shortest form of the game by any British national newspaper.

Hoult’s beat will include covering the business side of the format, including deals betweens cricket’s governing bodies, media companies and financiers.

Hoult joined the Telegraph in 2005 from Wisden Cricketer magazine. He recently edited the Daily Telegraph Book of Cricket.

David Bond, the Daily Telegraph sports editor, said: “The cricket world is changing rapidly. Twenty20 cricket is an exciting and vibrant story and one which the Telegraph is committed to covering.”
