FourFourTwo is looking for a digital features editor who will report to the UK digital editor and be responsible for creating, curating and uploading content to FourFourTwo’s hub site.
Broad and deep football knowledge is essential and the successful candidate should also display excellent language skills and be able to upload at speed. Knowledge of Photoshop a bonus but this is about the ability to write and to polish the writing of others.
The role includes an element of co-ordinating others, including making sure contributers submit copy on time. He or she will work closely with social media and marketing departments and also organise freelance payments. Out-of-hours working is required at times.
The digital features editor will also be expected to create regular Google analytics reports. Knowledge of GA would be useful but training is available.
The ideal candidate must have a creative approach to covering stories, experience in the management of financial resources, including budgetary planning, be capable of working to deadlines and targets, and possess a strong knowledge of the football media.
