Flintoff’s form fires up Sky Bet’s markets

From Sky Bet
The third Ashes Test between England and Australia gets underway tomorrow and SJA sponsors Sky Bet are offering a host of special markets.

With heavy rain expected over the next four days and the Edgbaston pitch failing to produce a result in 16 of its last 20 first-class matches, the draw for the Test has been cut from an opening price of 6/4 into 10/11. England are 7/2 to take a 2-0 lead with Australia 15/8 to level the series.

Following the announcement that Ian Bell will bat at No4 for England, Sky Bet are offering 13/8 for the Warwickshire man to score a half century in his first innings. Bell, who has scored a total of 640 runs from 11 innings in Division One of the County Championship, is 7/1 to mark his return with a first innings century and it’s 5/6 he scores more than 31.5 runs.

Sky Bet are also offering a selection of specials of the England and Lancashire all-rounder Andrew Flintoff after his man of the match performance in the Second Test. It’s 6/1 for Flintoff to take another five-wicket haul in his first innings and 16/1 he takes 10 wickets or more in the Edgbaston Test. Flintoff, who averages 31.71 runs in Test cricket, is 5/2 to score a half century in England’s first innings and it’s 5/1 he’s out for a duck.

Sky Bet, one of the SJA’s lead sponsors, is providing 30 of the Association’s members each with £50 in free bets on each of the Ashes Tests. At the end of the series, all of the entrants in the challenge will get to keep their winnings, while Sky Bet will match the winner’s balance with a donation to the charity of their choice.
