British basketball: media day

The Great Britain men’s basketball team, hopefully including Chicago Bulls’ Luol Deng, pictured above, will be the first British representation at a 2012 venue in the London Olympiad, when they open their EuroBasket home campaign against the Czech Republic on September 6 at The O2 Arena.

And qualification for next year’s EuroBasket finals should keep them on-track for London 2012, where despite being the host nation, they still need to earn a qualifying place.

Date: Monday 11 August, 2008

Time: 12 prompt until 1pm – a chance to watch the squad train followed by interview and photo opportunities

Who: Great Britain men’s basketball squad

Location: Brunel University Sports Hall, Brunel University, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8 3BH

Contact: Zarah Al-Kudcy (07745723196) or Alastair Henderson (07825365774)

Adidas is also pleased to announce its involvement with British Basketball and this will consequently be the first opportunity to see the GB men in their new kit.

For more information please go to www.basketballgb.com

Please email zarah.al-kudcy@fasttrackagency.com to confirm your attendance.
