Runner’s World: website editor
Runner’s World, part of Hearst-Rodale, is looking for a website editor to lead the Runner’s World/Triathlete’s World online team.
Runner’s World is the UK’s biggest sports magazine, and its PPA Award-nominated website has a large and engaged audience to match – over 700,000 site members, 20,000 Twitter followers and a buzzing forum community.
The website editor is responsible for everything connected with the reader experience online, as well as the site’s online events entry business.
A natural multi-tasker, an average day at Runner’s World could find you working with editorial, commercial and technical staff, and switching between writing, editing and trouble-shooting – with one eye on longer-term editorial strategy.
Managing an editorial assistant, you will be confident commissioning and editing original content across multiple formats and platforms – from news and feature articles to email newsletters, blogs, videos and podcasts.
Digital experience is a must, ideally in consumer media. Marathon medals are not a prerequisite – but a willingness to get involved certainly helps.
To apply, please send your CV and covering letter to alice.palmer@hearst-rodale.co.uk, stating the vacancy in the subject line by Friday 25 May 2012.
