Metro: sports sub-editor
As a sports sub-editor working on the sports desk during the Olympics and Paralympics, you will be expected to sub copy for the newspaper both in our coverage of London 2012 and also across other sports. You may also be subbing content for our Tablet editions.
Metro is the UK’s leading urban media brand, experienced across print, mobile, web, social and events. 1.4 million copies of the newspaper are picked up between 6 and 10am every weekday morning across 50 UK cities. Read by 3.6 million readers, it is the No1 choice for urbanites; 18-44 year old, professional workers in urban areas.
Metro.co.uk complements the newspaper, with over 8.5 million unique users per month. It delivers the latest news and sport, showbiz gossip, entertainment round ups, tech and gadget news, video content and much more to its urbanite audience. Metro’s mobile internet traffic is currently at 1.5 million unique visitors per month and its mobile apps, including the recently launched Tablet Edition and Metro Online, have combined downloads of 670,000.
